A famous landmark which is still in operation is Heygates Mill which in days gone by had only two men working in the mill producing a very small amount of wheat per day, very different from today where computerisation now allows 100,000 tons of wheat a year to be produced. There are now approximately 80 employees working at the mill with 16 or so trucks delivering to most of the south of England.
