Hampstead is located 4 miles north west of Charing Cross and is part of the London Borough of Camden. One more past resident of notoriety in Hampstead was the highwayman Dick Turpin, as long ago he took refuge in the Spaniard’s Inn in Spaniard’s Road Hampstead.
