About Hyde Park

Hyde Park is one of The Royal Parks and is open all the year round. As one of the largest parks in central London it has become a traditional site for many demonstrations as well as being the famous home for Speakers’ Corner. During the summer it is the perfect place for long walks and picnics. Why not book a date with one of our gorgeous and sexy Hyde Park escorts while you are in the area. The escort of your choice will be with you within 45 minutes and she will be only too happy to visit Hyde Park with you or meet with you at your home or hotel close by. When you meet her you will be thrilled with her good looks and charming personality and know that your evening in Hyde Park with her will be nothing short of perfect.

Hyde Park is separated into two parts by the Serpentine, the close by Kensington Gardens is often still thought to be part of Hyde Park but it is actually separated in 1728, this was done by Queen Caroline. Hyde Park covers 350 acres and Kensington Gardens covers 275 acres, this area combined is 625 acres, slightly smaller that New York City’s famous Central Park.

Through history Hyde Park has been a location for many mass demonstrations such as The Chartists, the Suffragettes, the Stop the War Coalition and the Reform League. Sadly Hyde Park and Regents Park were the sights for two bombs which were linked to the Provisional IRA and these bombings resulted in the deaths of eight members of the Household Cavalry and the Royal Green Jackets as well as seven horses.

The canons of Westminster Abbey owned the manor of Hyde since the Norman Conquest but in 1536 Henry VIII took ownership and it was mainly used as a private hunting ground through his reign and the reign of James 1, although James I did permit access to some gentlefolk. It was Charles I who opened the park to the general public.

Decimus Burton designed the Grand Entrance to the park in 1824 and this is situated at Hyde Park Corner just next to Apsley House. Within the park you will find the memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales which is an oval stone ring fountain and this was opened on 6th July 2004, there is also another memorial which remembers the victims of the 7/7 terrorist attacks and this is 52 steel pillars, each pillar commemorates one of the dead.

There have been some spectacular rock concerts held in Hyde Park and at the Queen concert in 1976 it was estimated that between 150-200 thousand people attended that concert. 1996 was the beginning of the London ‘Proms in the Park’ concerts; these are held on the last night of the BBC proms.

Plans for 2012 Summer Olympics have already begun and the park will be where the triathlon and the 10km open water swimming events will be held. This will be a temporary venue with plans to start its build in June 2012 and after the games it will be taken down.

Below you will find a list of venues where your Hyde Park escort will be more than happy to visit and offer you that very special memorable evening of exceptional enjoyment which we are certain you will remember for a very long time.
