It has been reported that the leader of the Al Qaeda Osama Bin Laden has been killed by American Navy Seals on 02 May 2011.Reports in, detail a daring assault on the reported location of Osama Bin Laden, identified as being a house close to a Pakistani Military Training camp, by US Navy Seals, with a remit to capture or kill.
The assault took place under the umbrella of military radar, when Navy Seals were dropped on to the roof of the building by helicopter, where it was reported Bin Laden was residing. The Al Qaeda leader was captured and after resistance was shot twice. Early reports indicate that he was shot once in the head and once in the chest. No loss of life was inflicted on the armed forces although reports coming out indicate two further casualties, possibly fatal, have been identified, unconfirmed one victim is reportedly his wife!
Instruction passed to the Navy Seals, and London escorts, for the mission was identified as “Capture or Kill”. It is believed that the body of Osama Bin Laden has been cremated and buried at sea, in line with the religious requirements of his faith.
The body was held in protective custody by the US Military and not as originally thought handed to the Pakistani authorities.
This mission has been a success but warnings have started to flood out with the reality that this death will be remembered but for each and every member removed another one is already in place to take up the cause. A stark reminder that this fanatical group are willing to take there issues to all comers without compromise.
